I belong to two book clubs – surprise – an author who likes to read. Lick by Kylie Scott was our book last month and I really loved the characters so I immediately checked out the rest of the series. This series is set in Portland, Oregon and follows a super cool rock band called Stage Dive. Out of the four guys, I freaking love the manic Mal, the drummer, to the point that I made my bff – surprise it’s Becca Barray – read the book while I watched her so we could laugh together. Yeah, it’s that funny. Have you read it yet? What are your favorite scenes? There are so many fabulous lines in this story it’s hard to pick just one, so here are a few and seriously – if you love funny contemporary romance featuring super hot rock gods, READ the series!
After meeting at a party, Mal decides he’s going to move into Anne’s apartment. Much craziness ensues. This little bit is about five minutes after they first meet, and I freaking love his total ADD and sweetness. I would NEVER want to date a man like that, but as a book boyfriend, I intend to visit him often.

“Liar,” he taunted in a soft voice. “You’re totally thinking of me with no pants on.”
I totally was.
“That’s just gross, dude. A massive invasion of my privacy.” He leaned in closer, his breath warming my ear. “Whatever you’re imagining, it’s bigger.”
“I’m not imagining anything.”
“I’m serious. It’s basically a monster. I cannot control it.”
“Malcolm–”
“You’re pretty much going to need a whip and chair to tame it, Anne.”
“Stop it.”
